Mission

Our mission is to serve the ministerial family offering confidential and remote access to the support a Christian mental health professional can provide.

Vision

Be available to provide support, regardless of distance and time, to the ministerial and missionary English-speaking Christian family around the world.

This Ministry Care Line service is a national 800 number phone service for pastors, teachers, staff, and their spouses and children. It is offered on a subscription basis to church professionals in organizations or groups with a minimum of 15 participants.

The purpose of Ministry Care Line is to give church professionals and their immediate family members, confidential access to the spiritual and emotional support a qualified Christian phone consultant can provide. While the Ministry Care Line does not offer mental health counseling services, national directories for referrals to local Christian mental health professionals are maintained in the phone center and referrals are available for those requesting them.

Ministry Care Line is designed to function as part of an organization’s employee assistance program. It has been shown that employee assistance plans enable a happier and more productive workforce. Ministry Care Line aims also to help the church fulfill the scriptural command to “bear one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2) for its own clergy, teachers, and other staff members.

Ministry Care Line phone consultants are available daily, Monday thru Friday, including some evening hours.

This service was inaugurated in February of 1992 serving approximately 1,000 employees in 7 religious organizations. There are currently over 4,500 eligible employee participants plus family members in about 40 subscribing organizations.

Subscribers receive a Ministry Care Line quarterly eNewsletter, a reminder of this service. Each eNewsletter presents a helpful book or other resource without charge to subscribers.
